Koi Fish Original Painting

ORIGINAL "Koi Fish" acrylic painting. It comes wrapped in the paint palette paper I used to mix the paints on. 

5x7", comes in a wood frame, signed (on the back), & with a certificate of authenticity.

This is one of my FAVORITE PAINTINGS EVER. I wanted it to feel like the water was as alive as the Koi fish. This painting has a lot of meaning and symbolism with ancestors that you can watch more in depth in the video on my instagram if you'd like. I've always had a curiosity about water and when I was a child I felt connected to my ancestors through the light that moved through water. 

Koi fish hold a lot of symbolism: perseverance, strength, good fortune, and personal transformation. Each color also carries meaning for each fish...

Orange: energy, vibrancy, and optimism

Red: intense love, passionate energy, power, strength, and bravery

A white koi fish with red spots: success in career or business, a bright future, purity, and love

A single red spot on the top of its head: It resembles the Japanese flag and is viewed as an ultimate symbol of good fortune, high status, and deep luck

White: spiritual enlightenment, a fresh start, professional growth and achievement

Also, If you look closely, you can find a hidden person swimming in the water connecting it to the Italy painting. I’m excited to see where these  koi fish find their new home and who its collector will be. I hope that it becomes a meaningful piece to whoever takes it home, adding beauty, symbolism, good fortune to their space for years to come.
